History:
Associated Reclaimed Oils was formed over 30 years ago by Mr Haley senior and Mr Maryan Senior. The company's aim was to provide an environmentally friendly hazardous waste collection service to the Garage industry, initially for the recycling of used vehicle engine oils.
A fleet of waste oil collection tankers were built to provide the oil collection service. Articulated tankers were then purchased to deliver the alternative fuel once it had been through our treatment process. Operations have been at our current location for nearly 30 years .
The site has been regulated and granted Licences, firstly by the London Waste Regulation Authority and now the Environment Agency. In 1996 the special waste regulations were implemented, this meant that hazardous wastes such as Used Oil Filters could not be thrown into general rubbish.
Overnight, we found that our customers had a need for a total waste solution for the garage industry. Consequently, the directors decided to create a collection and recycling service for other Vehicle workshop wastes.
Associated Garage Services was formed in 1996. To accommodate the collection of these newly classified waste streams and a further fleet of Box Lorries were added together with a used filter processing plant. The year 2005 saw another change to our system of management as the Hazardous Waste Regulations were implemented.
On the 12th of February 2005 our site Waste Management licence was modified, this allowed the facility to accept wastes as determined by the End of Life Vehicle Directive and incorporating the European Waste Catalogue. Associated Garage Services in 2007 have obtained an IPPC permit which has strict operational guidelines equivalent to ISO 14000/1.
Both Associated Reclaimed Oils and Associated Garage Services operate from the same licensed address.
